Holiday Challenge Updates & Reminders

Hi everyone! Now that our 2022 Holiday Photo Card Challenges are officially in voting, we wanted to share a general update on our holiday Challenge timelines, including file requests, along with some holiday-specific reminders.

Hidden Submissions for Holiday Challenges

First, we want to remind everyone that all holiday Challenges and holiday submissions will be hidden on Minted until we announce holiday winners this fall. During this time, you will not be able to see your submissions in your artist profile or on the Manage Submissions page, and holiday Challenge pages will be inaccessible. We do this for competitive reasons and to protect artists’ work. All holiday Challenge submissions are safely saved by our team, and will be visible again once winners are announced!

Holiday Challenge Timeline

• Religious Christmas Photo Card Challenge (early May - late May): for faith-centric Christmas photo card designs with religious sentiments.
  This Challenge is currently open for submissions! Submissions will close on Wednesday, May 18, at 10 am PT.
• Non-Photo Holiday Card Challenge (late May - early June): for non-photo holiday cards in a range of greetings and styles.
  Note: This will run concurrently with the Corporate Holiday Card Challenge.
• Corporate Holiday Card Challenge (late May - early June): for corporate holiday cards that businesses will send to their clients and partners.
  Note: This will run concurrently with the Non-Photo Holiday Card Challenge.
• New Year Photo Card Challenge (early June - late June): for New Year photo card designs.

Expected Holiday File Request Timeline

We expect to begin requesting holiday files in July. We know you’ve been wondering: yes, the festive progress bars will return to our Weekly Updates page this year! Once we’ve started requesting holiday files, and as we continue to request over the next few months, we will update the tracker to let you know our progress.

Once we’ve received and prepared all holiday files for launch, our team will begin launching holiday designs to Minted. We expect this to begin in September. This will happen before any consumer marketing launch in order for our team to make sure that everything is finalized, quality checked, and working correctly. We will share another update with launch-specific holiday information closer to that time!

As a reminder, we request all holiday files before announcing winners. We will include a link to a screenshot of your design in your file request email so you can see which design we’re referencing, since you won’t be able to see your holiday designs on Minted until after winners are announced.
